I'm not that big a fan of Salvatore's work, especially not Drizzt (hate him with a burning passion), but this is a good piece. :D So I'm faving it :heart:~

Because of that. I hate that Salvatore fleshed out a race (the drow) just to make Drizzt an exact opposite. Whenever he writes for him, it's....very contrite. Yes, that's the right word.

I don't the novels he inspires, like his War of the Spider Queen series, but not his work particularly. XD Yeah, I'm an odd one. >>;

I guess my only complaint is that Drizzt makes everything seem really easy... its the Superman effect you never really think he is in danger.

incidentally, I have talked with R.A. Salvatore and he is actually a really nice down to earth guy. He write like he wants to write and you have to admire that.... in fact he was going to pass up an invite to write for star wars and get a big payday because he wanted to write his stuff instead... but then figured he might be able to reach more readers if he had been attached to something as huge as star wars.
